Data corruption in The Bat! Voyager?

Voyager Pro 4.1.11.1
My Voyager database seems to have become corrupt in some way. As well as
showing all the correct folders in the folder tree it is showing three
separate un-named common folders, each of which appears to contain copies
of the non-account folders that exist at the top level of the tree. They
all seem to be references to the real folders, since if I create or delete
an item under any one of the un-named common folders it appears/disappears
in the other un-named common folders and in the actual folder as well.
I can't find any way to get rid of these 'ghost' folders - has anyone
experienced anything similar?
Although I can't be sure how these were created in the first place, I do
have a suspicion. I have noticed that when I close Voyager there can be
quite a long delay (sometimes up to half a minute) between when I click on
the cross at the top right of the window and the 'Processing Folders'
window appearing with a progress bar. If I should be distracted during
this delay and inadvertantly click a second time on the cross then Voyager
appears to close immediately. I have done this a few times recently and
suspect that the problem may have started at about the same time.
Incidentally, I reported this to Ritlabs support two weeks ago and have not even had the courtesy of a reply yet. Is this normal?

Hi Paddy, welcome to the board, and apologies for the late response from me, it's been Easter hols so I've not been around.
I've no experience of using Voyager so am not sure if it's different from the regular TB! As Voyager is used on a mobile device such as a thumb drive it could be that the system is actually undertaking some form of communication between the PC and the device and this will cause the sort of lag you're seeing. (We see this sort of delay between Win2k PC and a Buffalo NAS drive.)
The information about Common Folders is stored in ACCOUNT.CFN in TB!'s Mail folder (not in the individual account folders) so it looks as if that is the one which has gone belly-up. I'm not sure how to resolve this though, let me check up and see what I can find out for you.

Hi Anne, thanks for your resonse. It's great to get one at all, believe me and everyone's entitled to a holiday once in a while! What I find disappointing is that Ritlabs' tech support have not responded to me at all - I raised a ticket with them a month ago and prodded them at the beginning of April but haven't even had the courtesy of an acknowlegement apart from an auto-reply each time.
Anyway, one of the differences between TB! and Voyager would seem to be with the filenames. I don't have an ACCOUNT.CFN on my USB stick - but I do have a number of ACCOUNT files with extensions .EFB, .EFN, .EIS, .END, .ERB and .ERX.
If you can find anything out I'd be very grateful.

lets say, I had the same problem.
Test driving the bat 4.x and it did the same thing
Sent Mail - this is a folder on GMAIL, and has the correct identifier on 'The Bat!' screen, it doesn't have the mail displayed.
Sent.1 - This is a folder, the properties show it has an association with the IMAP server.
Something like the above. In any case, all screwed up.
I removed the IMAP account, added a test GMAIL account, this worked.
I re-added the original IMAP account and it works.
The reason I joined this forum, is because, newer, is not always better.

I'm using 'The Bat!' because everything else sucked on windows.

I don't think many of us here are using v4 so we're not much help to you I'm afraid. v4 support is offered by the official Ritlabs forums at
www.ritlabs.com
. I recall one of the earlier versions having a similar issue (one of the v2.x's I think) and the problem was resolved by a later version.
